Delta Health Masking Update

Jun 14, 2022News

Delta, CO (June 13, 2022) – On Monday Delta Health announced that face masks will be required again when visiting Delta Health Hospital and all Delta Health Clinics. This is a result of Delta County being at a HIGH-level transmission rate for COVID-19.

Delta Health says it will continue monitoring transmission rates weekly and will make adjustments and changes to protect its patients, staff and community.

“We take the health and wellness of our patients seriously,” said Jody Roeber, Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer at Delta Health. “After reviewing the guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) as well as the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) COVID Data Tracker for Community Transmission, it was determined that it was time to require masks throughout all Delta Health facilities.”

Transmission rates have been changing rapidly throughout Colorado and Delta County, which is why Delta Health plans to continue monitoring it so closely.

“We know it can be frustrating for everyone so we are asking for patience and understanding from our community and from our patients,” said Jacqueline Davis, Director of Marketing and Communications at Delta Health. “As things change we will continue to communicate and keep everyone updated.”
