anesthesia at delta health
At Delta Health, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) provide all anesthesia services for our patients. CRNAs are independent, board-certified, Master’s and/or Doctoral trained anesthesia providers.
On the day of your surgery, you will meet the CRNA that will be caring for you through the entirety of your surgery. Your CRNA will discuss your health history, current medications, allergies and they will discuss the anesthesia plan with you.
Once in the operating room and while under anesthesia, the CRNA will be constantly with you, continuously monitoring you and your care. Once the operation is over the anesthesia will be withdrawn under the watchful eye of the CRNA, and they will then accompany you to the post-anesthesia care unit, also known as “recovery.” There they will provide direction of care until your recovery is complete and you are ready to be discharged home or admitted to the hospital.
CRNAs produce over 50 million anesthetics each year and provide over 80% of rural health anesthesia in the United States. Half of all rural hospitals in America employ only CRNAs to provide safe and trusted anesthesia care.
CRNAs have been the exclusive anesthesia providers in Delta County for nearly 40 years. At Delta Health, CRNA’s are available and on-call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
If you have questions or concerns about anesthesia please feel free to contact us at 970-874-2218.
